EAGLE FORD FORMATION – VERTICAL WELL AUTOMATED BATCH
Application:
An Operator in the Eagle Ford was batch treating a well by treater truck twice per month with a combination of Corrosion Inhibitor and Biocide. The Operator had to work over the well every 2-3 months due to corrosion and/or bacterial failure. The wells in this area could not utilize a side stream injection due to the oil plugging at 70°. These failures were ongoing over the course of many months.
Solution:
Install a TXAM Automated Batch Pro Controller and set it up for a bi-monthly batch. This system is composed of the TXAM Automated Batch Pro Controller, ABV (actuated ball valve), TXAM Pump, and Chemical Tank. This system gives the Operator an automated batch treatment, along with a pre-flush and post-flush of water if desired.
The Automated Batch Pro Controller has the ability for hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly chemical batches. This system can be integrated into an Operators SCADA Network or the TXAM Pump Cloud.

Results:
The Iron and Bacteria levels in the test well are lower than the previous truck treating program. Corrosion and/or Bacteria related workovers have been eliminated. With the TXAM Automated Batch Controller, we were able to optimize chemical usage and eliminate over/under treatment.
This provided a cost savings not only with chemical costs, but also the treater truck costs and potential HSE exposure costs. The TXAM Automated Batch Controller can help with the ESG initiative as well.
